{"id":48356,"date":"2025-09-18T21:16:41","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T21:16:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=48356"},"modified":"2025-09-18T21:16:41","modified_gmt":"2025-09-18T21:16:41","slug":"paypals-1-3b-stablecoin-expands-to-9-new-blockchains-with-layerzero-integration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=48356","title":{"rendered":"PayPal&#8217;s $1.3B Stablecoin Expands to 9 New Blockchains With LayerZero Integration"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Payments firm PayPal&#8217;s (PYPL) U.S. dollar stablecoin is being introduced to nine more blockchains by interoperability protocol LayerZero (ZRO), expanding the token beyond the four blockchains \u2014 Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum and Stellar \u2014 where it&#8217;s natively issued.<\/p>\n<p>LayerZero integrated PayPal USD (PYUSD), issued by fintech firm Paxos, into its Hydra Stargate system, creating a permissionless version of the token dubbed PYUSD0 that&#8217;s one-to-one interchangeable with the underlying stablecoin.<\/p>\n<p>The move makes the token available on Abstract, Aptos, Avalanche, Ink, Sei, Stable, and Tron, while existing community-issued versions on Berachain and Flow will convert automatically.<\/p>\n<p>PayPal launched its PYUSD in 2023 as one of the first major payments firm-backed stablecoins.
