Galaxy Digital Inc.<\/strong> (NASDAQ:GLXY<\/a>) CEO Mike Novogratz<\/strong> said in an interview aired Tuesday that the political landscape could influence the cryptocurrency cycle, depending on President Donald Trump\u2019s<\/strong> choice for the next Federal Reserve Chair.<\/p>\n

Fed Under Political Pressure, Says Novogratz<\/h2>\n

In response to fellow cryptocurrency advocate Anthony Pompliano\u2019s<\/strong> question about the 4-year Bitcoin<\/strong> (CRYPTO: BTC<\/a>) cycle, Novogratz said that the \u201cpolitical situation\u201d makes predicting\u00a0the top of the cycle\u00a0that much more difficult.<\/p>\n

\u201cDepending on who Trump picks as the next Fed governor, it could kick off a whole freaking mega cycle,\u201d Novogratz stated. \u201cWe throw so many independents into the toilet and crypto\u2019s going a lot higher, right?\u201d<\/p>\n

He argued that the central bank was under \u201cpolitical pressure\u201d to lower interest rates<\/a> at a time when the stock market and gold were at all-time highs.<\/p>\n
