{"id":50218,"date":"2025-09-30T09:46:44","date_gmt":"2025-09-30T09:46:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=50218"},"modified":"2025-09-30T09:46:44","modified_gmt":"2025-09-30T09:46:44","slug":"deutsche-borse-circle-to-integrate-stablecoins-into-european-market-infrastructure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=50218","title":{"rendered":"Deutsche B\u00f6rse, Circle to Integrate Stablecoins Into European Market Infrastructure"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Deutsche B\u00f6rse Group (DB1) signed a memorandum of understanding with Circle Internet Group (CRCL) to bring regulated stablecoins into Europe\u2019s financial market infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement aims to integrate Circle\u2019s euro- and dollar-pegged tokens, EURC and USDC, into trading, settlement and custody services across the exchange operator\u2019s platforms, the firms said in a statement on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>There has been a flurry of stablecoin activity focused on Europe of late, with the likes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/09\/30\/societe-generale-s-crypto-arm-deploys-euro-and-dollar-stablecoins-on-uniswap-morpho\">SogGen\u2019s FORGE<\/a> subsidiary recently announcing expansion of its stablecoins in the region and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/09\/25\/nine-european-banks-join-forces-to-issue-mica-compliant-euro-stablecoin\">a group of European banks<\/a> issuing a euro-denominated stablecoin.<\/p>\n<p>Circle was the first major global issuer to comply with the EU\u2019s Markets in Crypto Assets regulation (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/learn\/what-is-mica-and-what-does-it-mean-for-crypto-users-in-europe\">MiCA<\/a>), giving the company a regulatory foothold in Europe. The stablecoin rules took effect in June 2024 and full legislation kicked in toward the end of December.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative will begin with listing and trading the stablecoins on 360T\u2019s digital exchange, 3DX, and through Crypto Finance, Deutsche B\u00f6rse\u2019s institutional crypto brokerage. Custody will be handled by Clearstream, the group\u2019s post-trade arm, using Crypto Finance\u2019s German entity as a sub-custodian.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTogether with Deutsche B\u00f6rse Group, we\u2019re planning to advance the use of regulated stablecoins across Europe\u2019s market infrastructure \u2014 reducing settlement risk, lowering costs, and improving efficiency for banks, asset managers, and the wider market,\u201d said Jeremy Allaire, the co-founder, chairman and CEO of Circle.<\/p>\n<p>In practice, the tie-up could allow banks, asset managers and other institutions to settle trades in tokenized euros or dollars, instead of relying on legacy payment systems.
