Cryptocurrency analyst Micha\u00ebl van de Poppe<\/strong> predicted Wednesday that gold could face a \u201csignificant\u201d correction, even as the precious metal continues its bullish rally.<\/p>\n

Van de Poppe took to X to share his thoughts on the ongoing surge in gold prices, finding the 47% year-to-date increase \u201cvery unusual.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s up 47% for the year, while the average is between 6-8% on a yearly basis,\u201d the analyst highlighted. \u201cVery unusual occasion and I think that we\u2019re going to see a significant correction.\u201d <\/p>\n

However, he did not specify a timeline for when the retracement could occur.<\/p>\n

Van De Poppe added that gold\u2019s chart looked bullish, but it\u2019s not the \u201cbest time\u201d to buy into the asset.<\/p>\n
