Here are a few of the more pressing ones:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Shareholder pressure<\/strong>: The company\u2019s reliance on equity issuance means dilution is a constant risk. The entire plan relies on Strategy\u2019s stock trading at a premium over the Bitcoin NAV per share. If that premium collapses, any new equity issuance becomes costly to shareholders; each new share would claim a smaller slice of the Bitcoin pie.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Accounting and impairments<\/strong>: Because of standard accounting rules, Strategy must book <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/terms\/i\/impairment.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">impairment losses<\/a> when Bitcoin\u2019s market price drops below the cost basis.
