It has established support at the $284-$285 levels, while it&#8217;s currently consolidating around $290.<\/p>\n<p>The move occurred as the broader crypto market rallied, with gains across the board and bitcoin (BTC) breaking above $122,000, inching closer to its August record high. The broader DeFi market also accelerated, hitting a $219 billion in assets across protocols, a fresh record level, <a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/\">DeFiLlama data<\/a> shows.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.sanity.io\/images\/s3y3vcno\/production\/e6e134494e921c454b2d16068b9cbb32698b97fb-1648x716.png?auto=format\" alt=\"DeFi total value locked as of October 3 (DeFiLlama)\" title=\"DeFi TVL (DeFiLlama)\"><\/p>\n<p>Deposits on Aave also climbed to a record $74 billion, cementing its top position  among DeFi protocols, per <a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/protocol\/aave\">DeFiLlama data<\/a>. The platform enjoyed fresh inflows due to a recent partnership with up-and-coming stablecoin-focused chain Plasma. The Plasma lending market on Aave <a href=\"https:\/\/app.aave.com\/markets\/?marketName=proto_plasma_v3\">swelled<\/a> above $6 billion in less than a week.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Technical Analysis Shows Strong Momentum<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Technical indicators point to upside potential despite short-term profit-taking pressure at current levels, the CoinDesk Data research model shows.
