The upcoming <a class=\"general-link\" href=\"https:\/\/forum.solana.com\/t\/simd-0326-proposal-for-the-new-alpenglow-consensus-protocol\/4236\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Alpenglow upgrade<\/a>, approved by 98% of validators, is set to reduce transaction finality from 12 seconds to just 150 milliseconds and is scheduled for a Q1 2026 rollout.<\/p>\n<p>Adding to the excitement, Solana recently teased a potential payment card.
