The token has declined 4% in the last 24 hours and 3% over the past week.<\/p>\n<h2>Price Sits Below Prior High<\/h2>\n<p>Ethereum is trading just below its former peak, a level last tested before the 2020 rally. According to Cryptocium, the structure today looks nearly the same. In both periods, ETH paused at resistance after months of consolidation and later broke out with momentum.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24ETH&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$ETH<\/a> \u2013 History Repeats Itself<\/p>\n<p>Ethereum might seem slow right now, but in reality, it\u2019s forming the exact same price action we saw back in the 2020 cycle.<\/p>\n<p>ETH is sitting at its previous ATH level, while the RSI is retesting its bearish trendline.<\/p>\n<p>Same thing, different time, <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/v7YV7pvzNM\">pic.twitter.com\/v7YV7pvzNM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Cryptocium (@Cryptocium_id) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Cryptocium_id\/status\/1980540885323641324?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 21, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Notably, the current resistance area is around $4,000 to $4,100. Analysts have <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/last-call-for-eth-ethereum-poised-for-takeoff\/\">noted<\/a> that ETH needs to close above this level to confirm any continued move. Until then, the price remains in a zone that has rejected attempts to climb higher.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) also follows a familiar path. During the 2020 move, RSI spent months under a trendline before breaking out just ahead of the rally. ETH is now testing a similar line again.<\/p>\n<p>Cryptocium described the setup as \u201c<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\"><em>the same thing, different time<\/em>,\u201d noting how the current RSI structure matches the previous one. If the <\/span>RSI pushes through, it may suggest a shift in momentum. For now, traders are watching to see if the pattern holds.<\/p>\n<h2>Traders Monitor $3,900\u2013$4,100 Zone<\/h2>\n<p>Javon Marks <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JavonTM1\/status\/1980393957793362148\">posted<\/a> a chart showing Ethereum retesting the breakout zone near $3,900. He noted that a measured move from this setup could put ETH above $8,000 if the level holds. This type of projection uses the height of the previous range to estimate the next move.<\/p>\n<p>DaanCrypto <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DaanCrypto\/status\/1980333456371380615\">said<\/a>, \u201c<em>You\u2019d want to see some daily close above that point<\/em>,\u201d referring to the $4,100 area. Other analysts added that a drop to $3,750 would open the door for long setups if a bounce follows. If not, the price may test lower ranges.<\/p>\n<h2>Large Buyers Remain Active<\/h2>\n<p>While price action has been mixed, institutional demand continues. BitMine Immersion Technologies made another Ether purchase this week. The company acquired $250 million worth of ETH from Bitgo and Kraken, as <em>CryptoPotato<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/bitmine-still-buying-the-dip-tom-lee-has-scooped-1-7b-eth-since-crash\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Funds also <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/ethereum-eth-rally-ignites-as-investors-pour-205m-despite-market-turmoil\/\">charted<\/a>\u00a0inflows. Ethereum-based products took in $205 million over the last week.
