Nonstop Zora Crypto Shills"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><a class=\"general-link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/jessepollak\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Jesse Pollak<\/a> has always been a pretty controversial figure when it comes to running Base, but this time, he might\u2019ve pushed it too far.<\/p>\n<p>Lately, Pollak\u2019s been catching a wave of criticism for how aggressively he\u2019s been promoting ZORA on X. From his recent posts, it looks like he\u2019s got one mission: push ZORA no matter what.<\/p>\n<p>Even though ZORA arrived late to the creator-content market, it has managed to find some success. Coinbase Ventures joined the $2M seed round and later participated in a $50 million venture round, valuing ZORA at around $ 600 million. Pollak keeps saying it\u2019s about \u201ctokenization,\u201d but those numbers make it look more like a profit play than some noble vision to change the space.<\/p>\n<p>Many people feel that ZORA is being forced down everyone\u2019s throat solely so that Coinbase and Base can recoup their investment. And right now, that investment isn\u2019t looking great. It\u2019s strange, but it\u2019s not the first time he\u2019s done this kind of thing.<\/p>\n<p>Since the early days of Base, he\u2019s always been active in random coin communities. Chatting with traders, even <a class=\"general-link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/jessepollak\/status\/1914677679288410348\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">buying NFTs himself<\/a>. It made him likable among the community back then, but most of those moves haven\u2019t aged well, and it makes the whole \u201cfuture of crypto\u201d vision look shaky.<\/p>\n<p>What Jesse\u2019s doing with Zora \u2014 pushing creative tokens \u2014 isn\u2019t necessarily wrong. He\u2019s not forcing anyone to buy. Still, it doesn\u2019t sit right with many people. One of the tokens <a class=\"general-link\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/jessepollak\/status\/1980717924001436101\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">he shilled<\/a>, called Dominos, shot up to a $200K market cap before crashing back to zero within 24 hours.
