Prominent Trump supporter and Palantir <\/strong>(NASDAQ:PLTR<\/a>) co-founder Joe Lonsdale<\/strong> has publicly criticized the president\u2019s decision to pardon<\/a>\u00a0Changpeng \u201cCZ\u201d Zhao<\/strong>, the co-founder of\u00a0Binance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u2018POTUS Advised Terribly On This,\u2019 Says Lonsdale<\/h2>\n

Lonsdale took to X on Thursday to say: \u201cPOTUS has been\u00a0terribly advised on this; it\u00a0makes it look like massive\u00a0fraud is happening around him\u00a0in this area.\u201d<\/p>\n

He expressed his admiration for Trump, saying, \u201cthis is possibly the greatest admin of my lifetime \u2013 except for these pardons.\u201d <\/p>\n

Zhao, a billionaire who is one of the most influential figures in crypto, quit in 2023 as Binance\u2019s top boss after the\u00a0company\u00a0pleaded guilty to failing to maintain an effective anti-money laundering program <\/a>and paid a penalty of $4.3 billion. He personally paid a $50 million fine and served nearly four months in prison last year after pleading guilty to the same charge as his company.<\/p>\n
