Traders are watching key levels to see if ETH will continue moving sideways or begin a new upward move.<\/p>\n<p>Recent price action has drawn comparisons to past setups that led to large rallies.<\/p>\n<h2>Pattern Resembles June\u2013July Setup<\/h2>\n<p>Analyst Galaxy pointed out that ETH\u2019s current structure looks similar to the one seen between June and July 2025. This structure is marked by sideways movement without new lows, which some see as a possible base before a move higher.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, another analyst, Crypto Rover, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/cryptorover\/status\/1982880475875356901\">shared<\/a> a chart comparing ETH\u2019s current structure to the one from late 2020. In that cycle, the asset traded in a small range before breaking out in November and continuing to rally through the following months.<\/p>\n<p>The chart shows a descending channel forming just after ETH\u2019s March 2025 low. This is similar to the setup before the 2020 breakout.\u00a0The timing of this move, based on the chart, may fall between late October and early November.<\/p>\n<h2>Traders Watching Key Resistance<\/h2>\n<p>Analyst Ted <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TedPillows\/status\/1983074331266822557\">said<\/a> ETH recently failed to hold above $4,250, pulling back to retest support near $4,050.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cSo far, Ethereum is showing a strong bounceback and could rally toward the $4,200\u2013$4,300 level again today,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/ethereum-forms-bullish-pattern-breakout-toward-5k-could-be-next\/\">reported<\/a> by <em>CryptoPotato<\/em>, ETH is forming a \u201c<em>Power-of-3<\/em>\u201d pattern. A move above $4,250 could trigger what traders see as the next expansion phase.<\/p>\n<h2>Market Activity and Developer Debate<\/h2>\n<p>ETH-based investment funds saw outflows of $169 million last week, breaking a five-week streak of inflows, as previously <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/ethereum-sees-169m-in-outflows-but-traders-arent-backing-down-on-leverage-bets\/\">reported<\/a>.
