Aerodrome Stands Out In Base<\/span><\/h2>\n

The high confidence stems from multiple factors. While DEX and DeFi is naturally competitive, even cut-throat, Aerodrome is among the go-to DEX on Base. <\/span><\/p>\n

There are alternatives, as expected, but the DEX moves decent volume, taking on Uniswap head-on. Uniswap benefits from the first-mover advantage, boasting over <\/span>$519M in TVL<\/span><\/a> on Base alone.<\/span><\/p>\n

Still, the fact that Aerodrome runs on Base alone means this specialty is also its edge. While earnings over the past eight quarters have been negative, the protocol is on course to generate positive gains in Q4 2025. <\/span><\/p>\n

The primary reason earnings have remained negative since Q4 2023 is the distribution of tens of millions of dollars\u2019 worth of AERO to users through liquidity mining and incentive programs. In Q2 2024, over $187M was distributed, while in Q3 2025, this figure exceeded $71M.<\/span><\/p>\n
