{"id":58662,"date":"2025-11-15T13:31:40","date_gmt":"2025-11-15T13:31:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=58662"},"modified":"2025-11-15T13:31:40","modified_gmt":"2025-11-15T13:31:40","slug":"xrp-army-beware-ripple-warns-of-big-surge-in-scam-attempts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=58662","title":{"rendered":"XRP Army Beware: Ripple Warns of \u2018Big Surge\u2019 in Scam Attempts"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>The team behind the company and the fourth-largest cryptocurrency has issued another warning on X about a growing number of scams targeting investors to steal their funds.<\/p>\n<p>The latest surge in fraud attempts follows the conclusion of the annual Swell conference and the launch of the first spot XRP ETF in the United States, which may be the two main reasons why bad actors have resurfaced.<\/p>\n<h2>XRP Army, Beware<\/h2>\n<p>Recall that the company\u2019s CEO, Brad Garlinghouse, <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/xrp-army-beware-ripple-ceo-drops-urgent-message-to-all-investors\/\">warned<\/a> in July this year that fraudsters had undertaken a new approach to scamming the XRP army by posting certain videos on YouTube and other social media platforms, asking people to send tokens to a dedicated address, which would be doubled. As it always happens with such \u2018offers\u2019 \u2013 if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is, as no one has ever received any tokens back.<\/p>\n<p>This warning was issued at a time when XRP\u2019s price surged to a new all-time high of $3.65, and the retail interest in the asset had skyrocketed. Now, the team reiterated the danger for unsuspecting investors and highlighted a growing number of \u201clive\u201d YouTube videos during and after the recently concluded Swell conference in the US. As <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/spot-xrp-etf-launches-on-nasdaq-today-as-binance-net-inflows-rise\/\">reported<\/a> earlier this week, Canary Capital\u2019s XRPC went live for trading on the Nasdaq after it cleared all necessary steps and the SEC was essentially bypassed following updates from October that removed the \u201cdelayment amendment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The product <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/canarys-xrp-etf-xrpc-launch-successful-heres-what-happened-on-day-1\/\">enjoyed<\/a> its launch date as its trading volume <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JSeyff\/status\/1989112640195756186\">neared<\/a> $60 million and surpassed Bitwise\u2019s Solana ETF (BSOL) on that front. The total net inflows were close to $250 million on day 1. The reason\u00a0<span style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;\">the net inflows\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NateGeraci\/status\/1989136610471100583\" target=\"_blank\">were significantly higher<\/a> than the overall trading volume was due to in-kind creations, which do not appear<\/span>\u00a0in trading volumes.<\/p>\n<p>Retail investors were anticipating a spot XRP ETF for years, especially since the launch of the BTC and ETH products in 2024.
