Convicted cryptocurrency fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried<\/strong> defended former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>, calling his arrest for drug-related crimes a \u201ctravesty.\u201d<\/p>\n

SBF Says \u2018Friend\u2019 Hern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> Was Wronged<\/h2>\n

An X account managed by Bankman-Fried\u2019s friends on his behalf claimed that Hern\u00e1ndez <\/strong>was framed, following President Donald Trump\u2019s<\/strong> plan to give a \u201cfull and complete\u201d pardon to the former Honduran President.<\/p>\n

Bankman-Fried, also known as SBF, described Hern\u00e1ndez <\/strong>as \u201cone of the kindest and most dedicated people\u201d he had ever met, adding that the two became friends under the \u201cworst possible circumstances,\u201d as per the X post.<\/p>\n

SBF and Hern\u00e1ndez\u00a0were housed in the same dormitory<\/a>\u00a0at the\u00a0Metropolitan Detention Center in New York,<\/strong> a high-profile prison.<\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t be more glad for him \u2014 it\u2019s a travesty he was arrested in the first place,\u201d the founder of\u00a0FTX<\/strong>\u00a0cryptocurrency exchange said.<\/p>\n
