According to the CME FedWatch tool, markets still place an 87% chance on a 25\u2011basis\u2011point cut next week.<\/p>\n<p>The preliminary December consumer survey from the University of Michigan showed an improvement in the overall sentiment, up from 51 to 53.3,\u00a0with inflation expectations softening further.<\/p>\n<p>Among mega\u2011cap stocks, <strong>Adobe\u202fInc.<\/strong> <a class=\"ticker-link\" data-ticker=\"ADBE\" data-exchange=\"NASDAQ\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/ADBE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(NASDAQ:<\/a><a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/ADBE\">ADBE<\/a>) surged over 5%, eyeing a sixth straight day of gains after slumping more than 50% from its January 2024 highs.
