Popular Analyst Says What Matters Is If Investors Can Sniff The Peril"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Cryptocurrency analyst\u00a0<strong>Willy Woo<\/strong>\u00a0expressed concerns Wednesday over the perceived quantum risk affecting Bitcoin\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/BTC-USD\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"ticker-link\" data-ticker=\"BTC\" data-exchange=\"CRYPTO\" rel=\"noopener\">(CRYPTO: <\/a><a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/btc\/usd\">BTC<\/a>) adoption.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Quantum Vulnerability Affecting Taproot Adoption?<\/h2>\n<p>In an X post, Woo pointed out a significant decline in Taproot adoption, from 42% to 20%, since 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/money\/what-is-bitcoin-taproot-upgrade\">Taproot upgrade<\/a>, activated in November 2021, was meant to improve the privacy and efficiency of the network, particularly for complex multi-signature transactions.<\/p>\n<p><figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;Quantum risk is 20 years away\u2026&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This misses the point.
