While it has witnessed multiple developments since then, the launch of its fully operational blockchain and native token has yet to <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">be seen<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The team has previously stated that the first <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">major<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> target is the introduction of Open Network. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> could become possible once 15 million users pass necessary Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verifications and migrate to the mainnet (<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">known as<\/span> <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/major-pi-network-pi-update-concerning-all-users-details\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">the Grace Period<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">). However, it won\u2019t be surprising if the deadline <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">is extended<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Most recently, Pi Network <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/important-pi-network-update-as-open-network-launch-date-approaches-details\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">revealed<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that over 9 million people have successfully migrated to the mainnet<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, saying they<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> are \u201cmaking excellent progress towards Open Network.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cIf you\u2019re still waiting on either Mainnet migration or KYC, remember to check your Mainnet Checklist and KYC app to see if further actions are necessary,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201c<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> the announcement reads.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Some community members praised the recent update, but others reported difficulties completing verifications and migrating to the mainnet. To assist those facing similar challenges, Pi Network previously <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/important-pi-network-update-for-users-struggling-with-kyc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">provided<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> guidance, recommending users join a dedicated Telegram chat where moderators <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">are available to<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> address their concerns.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">SHIB Users, Beware<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The popular meme coin, launched in the summer of 2020, has evolved into a broader ecosystem in the past few years. The team recently revealed that TREAT (a reward token that <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">provides incentives for<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> users engaging with Shiba Inu\u2019s protocols, including the layer-2 scaling solution Shibarium) will go live on <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">January 14<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">While the development sparked enthusiasm across the community, it also <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">provided scammers an opportunity<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to con inexperienced users.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Shibarium Trustwatch (an X account that aims to provide security) recently warned that wrongdoers offer fake TREAT services to people, alerting them to stay away from such dubious individuals:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cThey are now using SHIB socials linked to their FAKE TREAT. Please don\u2019t be misled by these predatory scammers.
