The asset also spent several consecutive months within a six-digit price territory, and it enjoyed a healthy demand for the spot Bitcoin ETFs alongside different sorts of adoption.<\/p>\n<p>However, the landscape since that aforementioned new peak has been quite different. Its price tumbled by over 30% and sits well below $90,000 as of press time. As such, the sentiment has flipped to mostly bearish, with numerous analysts <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/bitcoin-btc-has-entered-a-bearish-phase-structural-indicators-confirm\/\">calling<\/a> for the start of a new such phase. Merlijn The Trader, though, sees things differently.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">BREAKING:<\/p>\n<p>THIS ISN\u2019T A CRASH.<br \/>\nIT\u2019S A COIL.<\/p>\n<p>Raoul Pal just spelled it out:<\/p>\n<p>The old 4-year halving cycle is over.<br \/>\nWe\u2019re in a liquidity-driven supercycle.<\/p>\n<p>For 15 years the script was simple:<br \/>\nHalving. Supply shock. Retail mania. Top. Winter.<\/p>\n<p>That ended when $125B+ ETFs,\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/zlwY1jQ5Lv\">pic.twitter.com\/zlwY1jQ5Lv<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Merlijn The Trader (@MerlijnTrader) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MerlijnTrader\/status\/2001970780255506601?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 19, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2>Coiling, Not Crashing<\/h2>\n<p>Citing a recent interview by Raoul Pal, in which he argued that the <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/is-bitcoin-entering-a-supercycle-heres-why-this-one-looks-different\/\">four-year cycle narrative is over<\/a> and BTC is now driven by liquidity as it explains 90% of its price action, Merlijn explained that the asset\u2019s initial phase has ended when ETFs, sovereigns, and macro funds turned it into a global commodity.<\/p>\n<p>Further, both noted that they aim to trade liquidity, not calendars, and outlined the significant changes coming for next year:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Business cycle bottoming<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Fiscal stimulus loading<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Global money printer warming up<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Institutions forced to chase<\/p>\n<p>Merlijn concluded that corrections are not the end of the bull markets anymore: instead, he called them \u201cslingshots.\u201d Consequently, he warned traders that they need to adapt to the new BTC cycle version:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cTrade like it\u2019s the old cycle that no longer exists.<\/p>\n<p>Or position for the exponential curve already in motion.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>$600K in 2026?<\/h2>\n<p>Given the price movements over the past couple of months, it\u2019s difficult to speculate about massive increases in 2026.
