All three were bear market years, and 2025 isn\u2019t, leading analysts and experts to ask: Is something broken?<\/p>\n<p>Many are specifically pointing at October 10, which saw BTC prices <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/why-are-crypto-markets-falling-in-uptober-analysts-weigh-in\/\">crash<\/a> 10%, losing over $12,000 in a day or so in the industry\u2019s largest leverage flush.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWTF happened on October 10th? Exchanges are saying they are fine. Market Makers are saying they are fine,\u201d asked analyst \u2018Max Crypto\u2019 who added that crypto prices feel like a few big entities are selling non-stop.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThis has really started to feel like a Luna event, when everyone said that we are fine, and it ended horribly.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">WTF happened on October 10th?<\/p>\n<p>Exchanges are saying they are fine.<br \/>\nMMs are saying they are fine.<\/p>\n<p>And the crypto prices feel like a few big entities are selling non-stop.<\/p>\n<p>This has really started to feel like Luna event, when everyone said that we are fine and it ended horribly. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/D9RNefKgT7\">pic.twitter.com\/D9RNefKgT7<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Max Crypto (@MaxCrypto) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MaxCrypto\/status\/2003355890028835088?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 23, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2>Did October 10 Break Crypto?<\/h2>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cOct. 10 was the pivotal moment to where we sit today, and the overhang of \u2018Crashtober\u2019 still haunts us,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Jethroe111\/status\/2003479641818824835\">said<\/a> investor George Bodine.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The October 10 calamity occurred coincident with record runs in gold and silver, both of which did have momentum, he said before adding, \u201cI have never seen the fundamentals behind Bitcoin as strong as this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cOctober 10 wasn\u2019t just ugly \u2013 it exposed problems that still haven\u2019t been fixed, which is why the market feels so bad even now,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/scottmelker\/status\/2003539385807987181\">said<\/a> crypto analyst Scott Melker.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Liquidity remains severely compromised, and market makers have become more cautious, not less, making this worse than before, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, altcoins show no genuine recovery, bleeding whenever Bitcoin weakens without attracting new capital. This indicates money is exiting the market entirely rather than rotating between assets, contrary to what healthy market behavior would show.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cOctober 10 broke something psychologically. It reminded everyone that this market can still just\u2026 fall apart.
