Hayes\u2019 Privacy Bet<\/h3>\n

The former BitMEX CEO said in his latest essay<\/a> that his fund, Maelstrom, went heavily long ZEC after accumulating<\/a> positions in Q3 2025, wagering that privacy will emerge as crypto’s dominant narrative this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis year\u2019s dominant narrative will surround privacy. ZEC will become the privacy beta,\u201d Hayes wrote in his latest essay.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cTo obtain outperformance versus Bitcoin <\/strong>(CRYPTO: <\/a>BTC<\/a>) and Ethereum<\/strong> (CRYPTO: <\/a>ETH<\/a>), I will sell BTC to fund privacy positions,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
