Evernorth CEO Ashish Birla said the firm is preparing for a Q1 2026 IPO on Nasdaq, pitching the listing as a simplified, public-markets route for institutions to gain exposure to XRP without building the custody, compliance, and security stack themselves.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Nasdaq\u2019s Live from MarketSite on Jan. 15 with host Kristina Ayanian, Birla framed the planned offering as a response to what he described as growing institutional readiness and a shifting regulatory backdrop. Ayanian said: \u201cEvernorth is gearing up for a Q1 2026 IPO.\u201d<\/p>\n

Birla responded: \u201cI\u2019ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. I\u2019ve been in blockchain since 2013,\u201d Birla said. \u201cThe timing couldn\u2019t be more perfect. We have the right kind of regulation. We have the right kind of administration and institutions are ready to adopt.\u201d<\/p>\n

XRP Gets A Wall Street Wrapper<\/h2>\n

At the center of Evernorth\u2019s pitch is the XRP treasury strategy, which Birla described as \u201cthe digital asset underpinning Evernorth\u2019s digital asset treasury.\u201d In Birla\u2019s telling, Evernorth\u2019s equity is meant to function as an exposure vehicle for investors who prefer traditional market rails over direct token custody.<\/p>\n

\u201cPrior to Evernorth \u2026 you would have to go in, you know, custody digital assets on your own. You would have to worry about compliance. You\u2019d have to worry about security,\u201d he said. \u201cBut a large lion\u2019s share just wants to buy a public stock. So we made it as easy as buying a public stock. And we\u2019ll figure that stuff out for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Birla also suggested Evernorth intends to brand that exposure explicitly through its stock identity, referring to \u201cXRPN as the Evernorth stock,\u201d and repeating that the proposition is to \u201cjust buy the stock \u2026 and we\u2019ll take care of all that heavy lifting for you.\u201d For investors, the value proposition is less about novel financial engineering than operational outsourcing: Evernorth claims it can package custody, compliance, and blockchain participation behind a public equity wrapper.<\/p>\n

The executive tied the timing of Evernorth\u2019s public-market push to what he described as rising demand for regulated exposure. Asked about \u201cXRP ETFs \u2026 making a big splash,\u201d Birla said the category had seen \u201ca record breaking last few weeks,\u201d arguing that it signaled appetite from traditional investors. \u201cThat shows that there is the demand from the public markets to gain exposure to XRP,\u201d he said, adding that Evernorth intends to go beyond simple spot exposure by supporting the broader ecosystem.<\/p>\n

That \u201cbeyond\u201d hinges on yield generation and active treasury management. Birla said Evernorth expects to \u201cbe generating yield as well on the XRP asset,\u201d and that the proceeds would be recycled into the treasury: \u201cWe\u2019ll use [it] to go and buy more of the digital asset for the treasury. So we\u2019ll be actively out there.\u201d He positioned the company as an active participant in product development on-chain, saying Evernorth will \u201chelp develop that XRP ecosystem, help bring financial products to the blockchain.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pressed on what separates durable \u201cdigital asset treasury\u201d strategies from the rest, Birla emphasized scale and activity. \u201cOne, you have to have scale. And Evernorth as of today is by far the largest XRP digital asset treasury out there,\u201d he said. The second criterion, he argued, is avoiding a purely passive posture. \u201cThey can\u2019t be passive. They have to be active stewards of helping the ecosystem flourish and develop,\u201d Birla said, adding that he plans to continue \u201chelping the XRP ecosystem develop\u201d and that Evernorth could \u201cgenerate yield for the for the treasury as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

For prospective institutional buyers and public-market investors, the message was blunt: the company sees the last missing piece as capital access, and it is building a listed vehicle around it. \u201cYou\u2019ve got regulation, you\u2019ve got the products, and now you\u2019ve got institutional capital,\u201d Birla said. \u201cI think timing is right to adopt blockchain for financial products.\u201d<\/p>\n
