Crypto Market Goes Into \u2018Extreme Fear\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Bitcoin<\/strong> plunged below $88,000, with trading volume surging 76% over the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

The market sell-off spread widely, driving Ethereum\u2019s <\/strong>price below $3,000 for the first time in three weeks. XRP <\/strong>and Dogecoin <\/strong>also recorded sharp declines.<\/p>\n

Shares of cryptocurrency-related companies, including Strategy Inc.<\/strong> (<\/a>NASDAQ:MSTR<\/a>)\u00a0 and Coinbase Global Inc.<\/strong> (NASDAQ:<\/a>COIN<\/a>), closed down 7.76% and 5.57%, respectively<\/p>\n

Roughly $1.7 billion was liquidated from the market in the last 24 hours, according <\/a>to Coinglass, with a billion worth of levered longs evaporated.<\/p>\n

Bitcoin’s open interest fell 1.22% in the last 24 hours, while total funds locked in Ethereum futures slid 3.22%.<\/p>\n
