Investment Firm Seeks SEC Nod: &#8216;Tokenization Is Coming To Securities Markets\u2026&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Asset management firm\u00a0<strong>F\/m Investments<\/strong>\u00a0sought SEC approval on Wednesday\u00a0to tokenize shares of its flagship U.S. Treasury Bill exchange-traded fund.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Regulated Pathway For Treasury Bill ETFs<\/h2>\n<p>F\/m Investments applied with the regulator to record ownership of tokenized\u00a0shares of the <strong>US\u00a0Treasury 3 Month Bill ETF\u00a0<\/strong><a class=\"ticker-link\" data-ticker=\"TBIL\" data-exchange=\"NASDAQ\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/TBIL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(NASDAQ:<\/a><a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/TBIL\">TBIL<\/a>) on a \u201cpermissioned\u201d blockchain.<\/p>\n<p>If the SEC approves the request, TBIL\u2019s existing ETF shares would\u00a0be represented on a blockchain under the same Committee on Uniform Securities Identification Procedures code.
