Macro trader Alex Kr\u00fcger <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/krugermacro\/status\/2017035926351073441\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">wrote<\/a> via X: \u201cWarsh has advocated for a structural overhaul of the Federal Reserve and a \u2018new Treasury-Fed Accord.\u2019 He posits that an AI-driven productivity boom is inherently disinflationary, providing the basis for aggressive rate cuts. He also contends that the Fed\u2019s balance sheet has been used to subsidize <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/bitcoin-axed-wall-street-strategist-chris-wood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener \">Wall Street<\/a> and should be reduced significantly, signaling a strong stance against QE.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Former Fed trader Joseph Wang <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/josephwang\/status\/2017059016812470397\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">distilled<\/a> the trade-off more bluntly: \u201cA Warsh Fed looks to trade lower asset prices for a lower rate path\u2026 This is a step to reverse Bernanke\u2019s wealth effect.\u201d That framing matters for Bitcoin and crypto because it separates \u201crate cuts\u201d from \u201ceasy financial conditions\u201d\u2014two concepts markets often conflate during risk-on moves. Thorne <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DrJStrategy\/status\/2017024678896787588\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">added<\/a> via X: \u201cKevin Warsh remains the strongest choice for Fed chair because he uniquely combines market credibility with a clear willingness to reset policy in a more disciplined, rules\u2011based direction. He is structurally hawkish on inflation and the balance sheet, but tactically flexible enough to support meaningful rate cuts when conditions warrant, which aligns with the Trump\u2013<a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/bitcoin-covert-signal-bessent-pubkey-dc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener \">Bessent<\/a> objective of moving the funds rate lower without sacrificing institutional legitimacy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kr\u00fcger conceded Warsh\u2019s track record \u201cis not the best,\u201d while still arguing there is \u201cunique credibility in a former inflation hawk advocating for aggressive cuts.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Warsh, Bitcoin, And \u2018Market Discipline\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>For Bitcoin and crypto, one underappreciated angle is that Warsh has publicly described Bitcoin in surprisingly non-hostile terms. In a Hoover Institution interview published July 8, 2025, Warsh rejected the idea that Bitcoin threatens the dollar, while still treating it as a policy signal. \u201cBitcoin does not make me nervous,\u201d he said. \u201cI think of it as an important asset that can help inform policymakers when they\u2019re doing things right and wrong.
