The growth indicates President-elect Donald Trump will inherit a healthy economy. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/mlgzMd17m0\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/t.co\/mlgzMd17m0<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/mKyvgdwADJ\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/mKyvgdwADJ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 ABC News (@ABC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ABC\/status\/1877714842942894326?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">January 10, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>As the data above shows, December alone saw the addition of more than 100,000 jobs above the general expectations, according to data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.<\/p>\n<p>While this may sound good for the overall US market conditions, the cryptocurrency space reacted with immediate and violent price retracements.<\/p>\n<p>BTC, whose price has <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/bitcoin-price-loses-10k-in-2-days-after-dropping-below-92k-where-is-the-bottom\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">struggled<\/a> since the start of the week and the brief spike above $100,000, had recovered some ground and stood at $95,000. Source: TradingView<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The altcoins reacted in a similar fashion, with ETH sliding back toward $3,200, XRP going from $2.31 to $2.24 before a minor recovery to $2.27, and so on.<\/p>\n<p>The liquidations are up to over $320 million on a daily scale, while the number for the past hour alone has gone above $60 million.
