Close allies of the president and other members of Congress have been actively buying Bitcoin and Bitcoin ETFs over the past year amid increasing expectations of new regulations and pro-crypto moves from Washington.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Congressman Buys Bitcoin Dip<\/h2>\n<p>After trading for six figures during part of 2025, Bitcoin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/crypto\/cryptocurrency\/26\/01\/50239415\/how-the-second-trump-administration-is-changing-crypto-for-good\">fell in value<\/a> in late 2025 and early 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Congressman <strong>Byron Donalds <\/strong>(R-Fla.), Trump\u2019s close ally and preferred candidate to win the Florida governor race, is among those buying the Bitcoin dip.<\/p>\n<p>Donalds recently disclosed purchasing $1,000 to $15,000 in Bitcoin, according to the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/government-trades\/members\/byron-donalds\"> Benzinga Government Trades page<\/a>.
