Best known as a cryptocurrency trading platform, Coinbase Global <\/strong>(NASDAQ:<\/a>COIN<\/a>) is ramping up its goal of being an everything exchange<\/a>. Stock and ETF trading is now live for Coinbase users in the U.S. alongside a new partnership with Yahoo! Finance that makes adding equities to a crypto portfolio even easier.<\/p>\n

Coinbase Stock Trading Goes Live<\/h2>\n

On Tuesday, Coinbase stock and ETF trading officially kicked off, adding to the company’s recent product expansions like prediction markets.<\/a><\/p>\n

The company’s stocks and ETFs are available to buy, sell, and manage for U.S. customers. Trading is live 24 hours a day, five days a week.<\/p>\n

Coinbase said that over 8,000 stocks and ETFs are available at launch. Some of the stocks and ETFs are available to buy as fractional shares starting as low as $1 with instant funding via USD or USDC <\/strong>(CRYPTO: <\/a>USDC<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The zero-commission trading can be done within the Coinbase app and with an existing account, creating a “unified portfolio” of equities and cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n

The company said that this launch is a “major step” in connecting traditional markets with the digital asset economy.<\/p>\n
