Sen.\u00a0Elizabeth Warren<\/strong>\u00a0(D-Mass.) expressed concern on Wednesday over jailed fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried\u2019s<\/strong> endorsement of a cryptocurrency market structure bill.<\/p>\n

Warren Questions SBF\u2019s Endorsement<\/h2>\n

Warren said in an X post that a person like Bankman-Fried endorsing the legislation\u2014aka the CLARITY Act\u2014from prison should \u201cset off alarm bells.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAny crypto market structure bill must protect investors, our financial system, and American taxpayers,\u201d the senior lawmaker added.<\/p>\n

The CLARITY Act, which proposes to\u00a0split cryptocurrency oversight\u00a0between the SEC and the CFTC, sailed through the lower chamber last year. The bill remains stalled <\/a>in\u00a0the Senate.<\/a><\/p>\n
