Eric Trump,<\/strong>\u00a0co-founder of the\u00a0World Liberty Financial<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>(CRYPTO: WLFI)<\/a>\u00a0platform, stepped up his attack on U.S. banking giants on Wednesday, accusing them of \u201cdesperately targeting\u201d the cryptocurrency industry.<\/p>\n

Banks Protecting Their \u2018Low-Rate Monopoly,\u2019 Says Trump<\/h2>\n

Trump took to X, lashing out at the American Bankers Association<\/strong> and other lobbyists who are spending \u201cmillions\u201d to restrict yields on stablecoin balances through the cryptocurrency market structure bill, also referred to as the CLARITY Act.<\/p>\n

Trump, also the co-founder of American Bitcoin Corp.<\/strong>\u00a0(NASDAQ:<\/a>ABTC<\/a>), pointed out the supposed hypocrisy of big banks, including JPMorgan Chase & Co.<\/strong>\u00a0(NYSE:<\/a>JPM<\/a>) and Bank of America<\/strong>\u00a0(NYSE:<\/a>BAC<\/a>), of demanding \u201cfairness\u201d while really just \u201cprotecting their low-rate monopoly and preventing deposit flight.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNext time you see a big bank dropping billions on a shiny new Midtown Manhattan HQ, you know exactly where that money comes from: the non-existent interest rate they “pay” you,\u201d Trump made a sweeping remark.<\/p>\n
