U.S. stock futures fell on Friday following Thursday\u2019s sharp sell-off. Futures of the major benchmark indices were lower.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, President Donald Trump<\/strong> pushed the deadline<\/a> for Iran to finalize a deal back by 10 days to April 6. This move halted planned strikes against Iranian energy infrastructure as he asserted that negotiations were progressing “very well.” <\/p>\n

Tehran, however, reportedly rejected a 15-point U.S. proposal<\/a> conveyed through Pakistan, with a senior Iranian official telling Reuters that senior officials and a representative of the supreme leader found it served only American and Israeli interests. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury bond yielded 4.45%, and the two-year bond was at 4.00%. The CME Group’s FedWatch tool\u2019<\/a>s projections show markets pricing a 93.8% likelihood of the Federal Reserve leaving the current interest rates unchanged in its April meeting.<\/p>\n

The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust<\/strong> (NYSE:<\/a>SPY<\/a>) and Invesco QQQ Trust ETF<\/strong> (NASDAQ:<\/a>QQQ<\/a>), which track the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100, respectively, were lower in premarket on Friday. The SPY was down 0.017% at $645.20, while the QQQ declined 0.045% to $573.53.<\/p>\n
