People get Bitcoin when they have to, usually during disasters.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Cyprus bailouts in 2013, the European debt crisis, and Operation Chokepoint 2.0 all drove adoption spikes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBitcoin gets adoption through disaster. It\u2019s always been that way,\u201d Dixon <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lEgxtmKld0I\">told<\/a> Natalie Brunell on Coin Stories.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat corrects the price and then people run away and start selling their Bitcoin at the bottom,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The saddest thing is the best time to accumulate is when nobody cares, he explained.
