Less than 12 hours before the inauguration, incoming First Lady Melania Trump joined the meme coin bandwagon, launching her token, MELANIA.<\/span><\/p>\n

The sequence of events over the past three days has been unprecedented. This marks the first time since Bitcoin\u2019s inception that a president or president-elect of any country has released a token\u2014let alone a meme coin\u2014while in office or on the verge of taking over.<\/span><\/p>\n

TRUMP and MELANIA meme coins have been market movers, sparking\u00a0Solana,\u00a0Ethereum<\/a>, and Bitcoin rallies<\/span>. Bitcoin, in particular, has climbed above $107,000, briefly touching $109,300 earlier today.<\/span><\/p>\n

Interestingly, its release coincided with a star-studded \u201cCrypto Ball\u201d in Washington, D.C., hosted by David Sacks, a prominent investor linked to Craft Ventures.<\/span><\/p>\n

In less than 36 hours, the TRUMP token launched on Solana, soared to over $73 per token, with a peak market cap exceeding $18 billion. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, the TRUMP coin has been widely criticized, with some describing it as showcasing \u201cdiabolical levels of corruption.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
