The company on Tuesday announced that it halted its previously announced <strong>Bitcoin<\/strong> (CRYPTO: <a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/btc\/usd\">BTC<\/a>) mining expansion to evaluate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/pressreleases\/25\/01\/b43092915\/riot-platforms-launches-formal-evaluation-of-potential-aihpc-uses-for-remaining-600-mw-of-power-ca\">AI and high-performance computing (HPC) opportunities<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What Happened:<\/strong> Riot announced that it\u2019s launching a formal process to evaluate the potential development of the approximately 600 megawatts of remaining power capacity at the company\u2019s Corsicana Facility for AI\/HPC use cases.<\/p>\n<p>The company has engaged data center industry consultant <strong>Altman Solon<\/strong> and other industry experts to assess the potential opportunity.
