Billionaire investor\u00a0Ray Dalio<\/strong> expressed his views on Monday on why Bitcoin <\/strong>(CRYPTO: <\/a>BTC<\/a>) has not fulfilled its anticipated role as a safe-haven asset.<\/p>\n

Dalio pointed back to the arguments he made during the All-in podcast dated March 3.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst, Bitcoin lacks privacy. Transactions can be monitored and potentially controlled, which is why central banks aren’t looking to hold it,\u201d said the founder of\u00a0Bridgewater Associates<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As expected, the view drew rebuttals from Bitcoin advocates. <\/p>\n

Veteran trader Oliver L. Velez<\/strong> argued Bitcoin’s lack of privacy is not its weakness, but rather its great strength, providing an excellent alternative to the \u201copacity\u201d of today\u2019s financial system.<\/p>\n
