Economist and market commentator Peter Schiff <\/strong>disputed Strategy Inc.<\/strong>\u00a0(NASDAQ:<\/a>MSTR<\/a>) Chair Michael Saylor\u2019s <\/strong>oft-repeated framing of Bitcoin <\/strong>(CRYPTO: <\/a>BTC<\/a>) as a \u201cdigital property\u201d<\/a> and its comparisons to real estate.<\/p>\n

Schiff Questions Bitcoin\u2019s Value<\/h2>\n

In an X post, Schiff argued that, unlike real estate, which can be used or rented out, Bitcoin, as a digital property, holds no inherent value.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can use it [real estate] yourself or rent it out to someone else. What value does Bitcoin have as digital property?,\u201d Schiff questioned.<\/p>\n

When countered by citing Bitcoin\u2019s acceptance as collateral for mortgages<\/a>, Schiff said that collateral itself has no underlying area, and permitting it reflects nothing but \u201cbad policy\u201d from the Trump administration.<\/p>\n
