{"id":92938,"date":"2026-05-16T14:31:31","date_gmt":"2026-05-16T14:31:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=92938"},"modified":"2026-05-16T14:31:31","modified_gmt":"2026-05-16T14:31:31","slug":"crypto-market-dives-as-liquidations-jump-107","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=92938","title":{"rendered":"Crypto Market Dives As Liquidations Jump 107%"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>The crypto market retreated Saturday, erasing nearly $70 billion in value as the total valuation of all coins dropped to $2.6 trillion. <strong>Bitcoin <\/strong><a class=\"ticker-link\" data-ticker=\"BTC\" data-exchange=\"CRYPTO\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/BTC-USD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(CRYPTO: <\/a><a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/btc\/usd\">BTC<\/a>) dropped below the key support at $80,000 and moved to $77,800 at press time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ethereum <\/strong><a class=\"ticker-link\" data-ticker=\"ETH\" data-exchange=\"CRYPTO\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/ETH-USD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(CRYPTO: <\/a><a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/eth\/usd\">ETH<\/a>) price dropped to $2,170, while <strong>Ripple<\/strong> <a class=\"ticker-link\" data-ticker=\"XRP\" data-exchange=\"CRYPTO\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/XRP-USD\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">(CRYPTO: <\/a><a class=\"ticker\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benzinga.com\/quote\/xrp\/usd\">XRP<\/a>) retreated by over 3.25% to $1.40. Some of the worst hit were coins like Humanity Protocol, World Liberty Financial, Venice Token and Canton.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Crypto Liquidations Jump As Prices Fall<\/h2>\n<p>The ongoing crypto market crash coincided with a big increase in liquidations. CoinGlass <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coinglass.com\/liquidations\">data<\/a> show that the 24-hour liquidations jumped by 100% to $700 million, the biggest increase in days.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>More than 101,000 traders were liquidated in this period, with the biggest one being a Bitcoin trader whose $21 million was wiped out. Bitcoin positions worth $229 million were liquidated as it dropped below key psychological levels.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ethereum positions worth $197 million and XRP trades worth $13.6 million were liquidated.
