{"id":9337,"date":"2025-01-23T16:32:10","date_gmt":"2025-01-23T16:32:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=9337"},"modified":"2025-01-23T16:32:10","modified_gmt":"2025-01-23T16:32:10","slug":"wazirx-wins-approval-from-singapore-court-to-repay-users-following-230m-hack","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dogewisperer.com\/?p=9337","title":{"rendered":"WazirX Wins Approval From Singapore Court to Repay Users Following  $230M Hack"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Indian cryptocurrency exchange WazirX has won approval from the Singapore High Court to restructure after the $230 million hack last year.<\/p>\n<p>The High Court has allowed WazirX to convene a scheme meeting with users in a &#8220;significant step&#8221; towards distributing funds lost in the attack and reviving the platform&#8217;s operations, the exchange announced via email on Thursday. <\/p>\n<p>Should the restructuring plan be approved, funds would then be distributed to creditors within 10 business days. <\/p>\n<p>WazirX was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2024\/07\/18\/crypto-exchange-wazirx-sees-230m-in-suspicious-withdrawals-largely-100m-in-shib-token\" target=\"_blank\">hacked by attackers by the North Korean group Lazarus<\/a> in July, which over 45% of the exchange&#8217;s $500 million in holdings stolen.
