In an X post on Thursday afternoon, Sen. Lummis promised a three-point crypto agenda in 2025:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pass legislation promoting responsible innovation and consumer protection<\/li>\n<li>Eradicate Operation Chokepoint 2.0<\/li>\n<li>Make America the bitcoin and digital asset capital of the world<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Popular crypto markets analyst Crypto Beast replied, \u201cwe\u2019re going much higher.\u201d\u00a0The strategic Bitcoin reserve has backing from President Trump, according to recent reports and the fact that he <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/trumps-digital-asset-executive-order-heres-whats-inside\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">signed<\/a> the documents.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, it has a strong group of pro-crypto delegates to Congress in the new subcommittee. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2025\/01\/23\/senate-banking-crypto-subcommittee-gallego-lummis\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\">That includes<\/a> Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), who received strong backing from the pro-crypto Fairshake PAC.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, there\u2019s Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH), a freshman senator who prevailed in the ballot count over the Banking Committee\u2019s previous chair, Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/bitcoin-price-analysis\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\">Bitcoin\u2019s price<\/a> had a somewhat unexpected reaction to the aforementioned news.
