He <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CryptoMichNL\/status\/1882527223346815116\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"external\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">told<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> his over 750,000 followers on the social media platform that a potential price plunge to $2.80 might serve as an optimal entry point. He also claimed that an eventual rise to $10 per coin is not out of the question.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">EGRAG CRYPTO chipped in, too. The analyst envisioned a possible retest of $2.83 and a drop to $2.50, \u201cwhich is normal.\u201d In general, though, the trader remains bullish, predicting the price to reach new dimensions if it breaks above $3.40.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Recall that XRP almost hit that target on January 16. As <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">CryptoPotato<\/span><\/em> <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/ripple-missed-new-ath-by-just-1-can-xrp-break-through-today\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">reported<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, it spiked to as high as $3.39, standing just 1% away from its all-time high registered at the beginning of 2018.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Bulls Are Waiting for These Developments<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">One of the most important factors that could positively impact the price of XRP is the final resolution of the Ripple v. SEC lawsuit (assuming it benefits the firm). Just a few days ago, the agency\u2019s former Chairman, Gary Gensler (considered <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">a huge<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> enemy of the digital asset sector), <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/gary-gensler-officially-out-what-does-it-mean-for-ripple-xrp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">resigned<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> and was succeeded by the pro-crypto Mark Uyeda.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This has infused enthusiasm across the XRP Army that the case might conclude with a favorable resolution for Ripple <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">soon<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> The popular American lawyer John Deaton also shares that thesis.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">He <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/pro-xrp-attorney-outlines-3-possible-scenarios-for-the-ripple-v-sec-lawsuit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">claimed<\/span><\/a> <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">there are<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> three possible scenarios for the case after Gensler\u2019s departure. The most likely includes dismissing the SEC\u2019s appeal of the 2023 verdict set by Judge Analisa Torres. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Back then, the magistrate<\/span> <a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/xrp-price-explodes-16-as-judge-rules-in-favor-of-ripple-in-sec-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">ruled<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that XRP sales on public exchanges to retail investors did not constitute securities transactions. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">However, Deaton thinks Ripple will have to pay the previously ordered $125 million penalty for violating <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">certain<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> rules. The fine shouldn\u2019t be a problem for the company since some execs already <\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/cryptopotato.com\/important-ripple-v-sec-lawsuit-development-incoming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">promised<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to abide by the rules. It also represents just a fraction of the $2 billion the securities regulator initially requested.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The potential launch of an XRP ETF in the United States may also trigger upward pressure on the price of the underlying asset.
